B.Tech Admission - NRI Quota Registration

College of Engineering Thalassery

College of Engineering Thalassery invites applications for admission to B.Tech programmes under the NRI Quota for the academic year 2026–27.

Eligible candidates seeking admission under the NRI category are requested to complete the online registration form within the stipulated time. The registration process is conducted in accordance with the guidelines issued by Co-operative Academy of Professional Education (CAPE), Government of Kerala.

Important Information

• This registration form is intended for candidates applying under the NRI Quota.
• Submission of the registration form does not guarantee admission.
• A provisional merit/rank list will be prepared based on the applications received from eligible candidates.
• The rank list will be published on the official website of the college / CAPE as per the admission schedule.
• Admissions will be carried out strictly according to the published rank list and applicable Government / CAPE regulations.

Eligibility Criteria

Candidates applying under the NRI quota should:

• Have passed the Higher Secondary Examination of Kerala or an equivalent recognized examination.
• Have studied:
  • Physics and Mathematics as compulsory subjects
  • Chemistry / Computer Science / Biotechnology / Biology as optional subject
• Have secured minimum 45% aggregate marks in Physics, Mathematics, and the optional subject taken together.
• Relaxation up to 40% for SC/ST/SEBC/PwD candidates.
• Be a Child / Ward / Dependent of an NRI sponsor.

Important Note

• KEAM qualification is not mandatory for admission under the NRI quota.
• Candidates must submit all supporting NRI documents as prescribed by CAPE during the verification/admission process.
• Incomplete or incorrect applications are liable to be rejected.

• NRI Sponsorship Declaration
• Employment Certificate of the Sponsor
• Passport and Visa pages of the Sponsor
• NRI Bank Account Certificate
• Plus Two / Equivalent Mark Sheet
• Proof of Relationship with Sponsor

Fee Structure

• Tuition Fee: ₹1,25,000/- per year (Subject to Government / CAPE regulations)
