M.Tech in Embedded Systems & VLSI
The M.Tech 2022 regulations of the KTU along with all the amendments thereto, shall govern the policies and procedures on the admission and registration of students, academic activities, conduct of the examination, evaluation, certification of students performance leading to the award of the M.Tech Degree. M. Tech programmes has been structured on a credit based system following the semester pattern having continuous evaluation, with a total of 68 credits. Each programme will consist of Discipline core courses and Programme core courses, Programme electives and Interdisciplinary electives, Audit course, Miniproject, Laboratory work, Dissertation/Research work and internship in relevant industries. The academic activities will be as per the academic calendar of the KTU.
1. M.Tech Regular Program (18 Seats)
The regular MTech programme in Embedded system and VLSI has an annual sanctioned intake of 18 seats. Duration of the course is 4 semesters. Class timing will normally be on regular working days according to the KTU academic calendar. The admission is managed by the DTE Kerala. The eligibility criteria for admissions to the M.Tech programme shall strictly be as per the prospectus issued annually by the DTE for admission to the various M Tech programmes.

B Tech / BE / BSc (Engineering) / Masters degree in the following disciplines or related disciplines recognised as eligible by the University for pursuing M.Tech -
- Electronics and Communication Engineering
- Applied Electronics and Instrumentation Engineering
- Electronics & Biomedical Engineering
- Biomedical Engineering
- Instrumentation and Control Engineering
- Electronics and Computer Engineering
- Electrical and Electronics Engineering
- Electrical and Computer Engineering
- MSc Electronics/Physics with valid GATE Score*
NB: In the absence of candidates who possess valid GATE score, other candidates also will be considered.
