The Department of Applied Science and Humanities was established at the inception of the college. The department offers fundamental courses in Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry, and English to all first and second year B.Tech students. The main objective of the department is to make students capable to apply basic science knowledge to solve engineering problems.
Mathematics, physics, and chemistry forms the foundation of engineering knowledge and practice. They enable engineers to analyze and solve problems, design innovative solutions, and ensure the safety and efficiency of various engineering projects. Without a strong grounding in these disciplines, it would be challenging for engineers to develop and implement technologies that meet society's needs and tackle global challenges effectively. Also in addition to technical knowledge and expertise in your field, developing certain life skills and communication skills can significantly enhance your personal and professional success.
