M.Tech in Embedded Systems & VLSI (Working Professionals) - 30 seats
The M.Tech 2022 regulations of the KTU along with all the amendments thereto, shall govern the policies and procedures on the admission and registration of students, academic activities, conduct of the examination, evaluation, certification of students performance leading to the award of the M.Tech Degree. M. Tech programmes has been structured on a credit based system following the semester pattern having continuous evaluation, with a total of 68 credits. Each programme will consist of Discipline core courses and Programme core courses, Programme electives and Interdisciplinary electives, Audit course, Miniproject, Laboratory work, Dissertation/Research work and internship in relevant industries. The academic activities will be as per the academic calendar of the KTU.
M. Tech for Working Professionals is a continuation of technical expertise acquired after completing B.Tech programmes and offers an opportunity for B.Tech holders to obtain M.Tech Degree in Engineering while working. The M. Tech for Working Professionals programme has an annual sanctioned intake of 30 seats in the discipline of 'Embedded system and VLSI'.
- The M.Tech 2022 curriculum of KTU is equally applicable to the M.Tech working professionals also.
- The guidelines issued, from time to time, by AICTE or KTU or the Government shall also be in effect.
- Timings for conduct of classes normally shall be in the evening hours/ any flexible convenient timings (including weekends/ holidays).
Eligibility criteria
i. The applicant seeking admission to the course should be a professional/ employee working in Registered lndustry / Organization (Central / State) / Private/ Public Limited Company/ MSMEs. In proof thereof the applicant shall submit proof of employment from the Employer in the form of an Employment Certificate to be produced.
ii. The applicant should have been employed in the Registered lndustry / Organization (Central / State) / Private/ Public Limited Company/ MSMEs for a minimum continuous period of ONE Year on Full time basis. In proof thereof the applicant shall submit proof of continuous employment and conduct from the Employer in the format attached to these guidelines of a Certificate to be produced.
iii. The academic eligibility criteria for admissions to the M.Tech programme for Working Professionals are same as that for the regular M.Tech programme and shall strictly be as per the prospectus issued annually by the DTE for admission to the various M Tech programmes.
iv. There shall be no age limit to apply for admission to the course
